We are seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Engineering Department. Your role will support all other operational departments by maintaining equipment, buildings, and grounds in optimum condition while delivering essential engineering services in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and Miraval's brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the daily engineering operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
• Support the preventive maintenance program to ensure the longevity and reliability of hotel facilities.
• Supervise and coordinate special projects related to facility improvement and system upgrades.
• Ensure the smooth operation of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, fire main systems, sprinklers, and water/waste treatment.
• Oversee a team of engineers and technicians, providing training and mentorship to maintain high performance standards.
• Work closely with other departments to provide technical support and ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain energy efficiency and implement sustainable engineering practices in line with Miraval's wellness philosophy.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and Hyatt's operational policies.

• A degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Management is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Remote location experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, energy conservation, and project management.
• Technical expertise in HVAC, fire safety systems, hydraulics, and building automation.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Engineering Maintenance Systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
