Description

The Associate Director of Sales and Marketing is an experienced senior level hotel sales member that reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing and is responsible for managing defined sales segments, supporting marketing strategies, and assisting with managing and leading the sales team.
• Mentoring and training of sales staff
• Recruitment and hiring of sales staff
• Working collaboratively with catering and convention services and other divisions in the hotel
• Involvement with the annual business plan process
• Forecasting, owners' meetings, systems training, report analysis, and P&L management
• Conduct site inspections, execute sales trips, and represent the hotel at trade shows as needed
• Client entertainment for potential and existing clientele to develop, strengthen and maintain relationships
• Prioritize leads response; prepare and present effective proposals, RFPs and contracts
• Maintain well organized documentation and reports, including group booking notes for each stage of the booking cycle
• Create and implement strategic quarterly sales action plans to meet and/or exceed quarter sales goals
• Deliver high-touch, high-level service to all accounts, and work closely with Operations, Event Planning and Banquets to ensure an exceptional experience
• Leverage Hyatt's tools, systems, network and database to drive results
• Actively participate in strategy and sales meetings, provide support for Menu Readings and Resume Meetings.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
• A minimum of 3-5 years previous experience inasales leadership role
• Proven sales experience with the ability to lead, guide and achieve personal revenue goals
• Proficient in general computer knowledge
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
