Job Description For Assistant Concierge
Description
As an Assistant Concierge, you will be an essential part of the guest experience at Grand Hyatt Barcelona, delivering personalized luxury service and creating memorable moments throughout the stay. You will warmly welcome guests, assist with curated recommendations, and provide expert support to ensure a seamless and exceptional experience from arrival to departure.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm, professional demeanor, assisting them with personalized recommendations and fulfilling requests with care and efficiency.
- Assist with arranging dining reservations, spa appointments, entertainment bookings, and special guest requests such as floral arrangements or gift deliveries.
- Provide guests with detailed information about local attractions, exclusive experiences, and cultural events tailored to their preferences.
- Support the Concierge team in coordinating daily guest services and maintaining updated guest profiles for personalized assistance.
- Collaborate with departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
- Coordinate transportation needs, including airport transfers, chauffeur services, and city travel guidance, ensuring timely and accurate arrangements.
- Monitor VIP arrivals in collaboration with the Guest Experience team, ensuring all preparations are made for a flawless stay.
- Maintain a clean and organized concierge desk, equipped with up-to-date city maps, brochures, and essential service materials.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns with empathy and professionalism, striving for swift and satisfactory solutions.
- Represent the Hyatt brand with pride through professional appearance, warm hospitality, and a proactive service mindset.
Qualifications What we would love about you:- Previous experience in a luxury hotel, hospitality, or guest-facing role is preferred but not essential - we value passion and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, engaging, and professional demeanor.
- Genuine interest in creating personalized and memorable guest experiences.
- Strong knowledge or interest in local dining, shopping, entertainment, and cultural offerings.
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on guest needs.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required; additional languages such as Catalan are a great plus.
