The role

Thompson Austin and tommie Austin are in search of a dynamic and energetic Group Sales Manager. The right candidate is interested in a career in hospitality sales and thrives in a fast paced environment. The Group Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. This position will be complex between both hotels. The Group Sales Manager is a career sales professional and a top producer within hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in direct sales.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• • Selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business.
  • Preparing and presenting effective proposals
  • Maintaining well organized documentation and reports
  • Utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate.
  • Participate in sales meetings, banquet & event meetings, and other staff meetings.
  • Works as a team member with the sales and catering staff and is in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.
  • Solicits, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business.

Both hotels are anchored on the ground floor by The 5th Street Diner + The Royal Room, a street side concept serving daily fare for locals, residents and guests alike.This mixed-use project will also feature a residential tower - Siena - and 10,000 square feet of retail space.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
• Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
• Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
