Description

ATea Lead is responsible for welcoming guests to a dining environment, particularly in upscale settings. Their duties include ensuring guests have a personalized and engaging experience while adhering to service standards. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings. A Hyatt tea lead will engage in a conversation and create the afternoon tea experience through their style and service attributes. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment. If you have experience as a tea lead/host in a restaurant, we'd love to hear from you!

Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills both over the phone and in person.

• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment

• An appetite for learning

• Welcome guests, present menus, and answer any questions they may have about food and beverage items.

• Ability to take customers' orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring they receive the food and beverages they've requested in a timely manner.

• Oversee the entire serving process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and guests are satisfied with their experience.

• Communicate effectively with kitchen, restaurant and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.

• Be knowledgeable about the menu, wine list, and other aspects of the establishment.

• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as you'll often interact with guests to enhance their dining experience.

• Tea lead plays an essential role in creating a positive dining experience for customers and maintaining high service standards in the hospitality industry.

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or waiter/waitress is beneficial.

• 1-year experience in a full-service restaurant required

• Familiarity with restaurant etiquette is essential.

• Experience in managing reservations.

• Demonstrable customer-service skills.

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

• Refined verbal communication skills.
