CDC’s new mandate calls for new jobs for the hospitality industry

The U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, also known as CDC, has now allowed fully vaccinated American Citizens to travel across America and even take International flight at low risk. The news brings a fresh ray of light for the tourism and hospitality industry. It also means more hospitality jobs are on the horizon to meet the requirement of Spring and summer travellers. CDC says fully vaccinated American citizens who have taken both the doses of Covid-19 vaccination (only one dose of Johnson and Johnson and two doses of Pfizer or Moderna) are considered fully vaccinated after two weeks of the second dose) shall travel across the states in the United States and explore beyond the International borders.

CDC has advised people to consider still using masks in public settings and continue hand washing. American citizens seeking to travel in Spring and summer will not have to test for the Coronavirus before and after the travel unless required by the local jurisdiction. They will no longer need to quarantine after returning to the US; quarantine at the point of destination depends on the other country's Covid guidelines.

The recent CDC update is only valid for fully vaccinated American citizens and doesn't comply with citizens who are not vaccinated. Non-vaccinated citizens are discouraged from traveling domestically; they still need to abide by before and after Covid-19 testing and will need to mandatory quarantine for at least ten days if arriving from International destinations.
