Job Description
As Wellness Facility Manager at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, you will be supporting the pre-opening and daily operations of the resorts Thermal wellness facility.
Reporting to the Director of Wellness, the Wellness Facility Manager is responsible for the daily leadership of the wellness facility operations and driving all Key performance Indicators
The Facility Operations Manager will join the team during the pre-opening phase and will assure guests and members' satisfaction by ensuring the facility cleanliness and equipment is in peak condition at all times while adhering to all aspects of the operations budget, including payroll. Safety and service is always the Facility Operations Manager first priority.
Pre-Opening Operational Requirements:- Liaise with GM, DOO and Director of Wellness for OS&E, FF&E and IT details
- Liaise with DoW to oversee recruitment for required positions
- Liaise with DoW to create Training Plan and pre-opening protocols
- Liaise with DoW to create SOPs related to par stocks, duties and BOH processes
- Liaise with DoW to create and Implement Heartist journey for FOH and BOH staff
What you will be doing:Reporting to the Director of Wellness, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following;
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service to internal and external guests.
- Direct operations of the facility including formulation of project planning, short and long term for the spa operation.
- Create and maintain SOPs and Training guides for all positions within the facility
- Assist in the administration and implementation of staff training in all aspects of the Facilities operations.
- Conduct daily line ups/monthly facility operations departmental communication meetings and represent Facility operations in weekly departmental meetings.
- Execute Facility Operations goals.
- Responsible for all aspects of Facility Operations Colleague relations to include manage, train and motivate.
- Conduct selection interviews for new hires.
- Effectively schedule all facility colleagues.
- Monitor and effectively control facility operations payroll.
- Conduct facility operations colleagues' performance appraisals.
- Conduct daily inspections of the facility, working in the facility to ensure the highest level of cleanliness, tidiness and maintenance.
- Oversee the Pool Operators and ensure the health and safety of all bodies of water in our facility.
- Order and maintain adequate inventory and stock of all facility maintenance materials/chemicals/products/amenities.
- Represent the Wellness Facility department on the Hotel Health & Safety Committee.
- Ensure that all facility colleagues are well versed in safety procedures and practices.
- Act as Duty Manager for all colleagues by supporting all areas of the facility as required, creating a visual presence within the department and resolving any and all guest concerns by role modelling professional service delivery.
- Coordinate with other departments as needed
- Consistent Collaboration with Engineering to ensure effective preventative maintenance of the facility
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous Housekeeping experience an asset.
- Previous Health Club and Recreational experience an asset
- Facility Pre-opening experience an asset
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Standing and walking throughout shift - 40% of time
- Sitting - 30% of time
- Lifting - Under 20lbs 10% of work time
- Carrying - Over 20lbs 10% of work time
- Pulling - Over 20lbs 10% of work time
- Motions - Bending, standing, walking, sitting
