Job Description
The VP Revenue Management & Distribution, reporting to the SVP Commercial, is responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing all revenue streams whilst achieving optimal occupancy. He/she is responsible for developing a pricing and distribution strategy aligned with the brand's recommendations and the specific requirements of trains, yachts, and hotels, and should have a total revenue management approach, with consideration for all the revenue streams of the different products.
Role and responsibilitiesBUSINESS PERFORMANCE
- Rolling out the Business Intelligence ecosystem to effectively follow performance, strategy assessment, customer insights and competition tracking through leading-edge data driven insights, measurements, and advanced analytics.
- Playing a pivotal role in the Strategic Planning, Marketing Plan, and budgeting processes.
- Monitoring the performance, market conditions, and other data and information that may influence the product performance and manage stakeholders' expectations upwards with a consistent and updated "storyline".
- Continually reviewing market segments & distribution channels performance through periodic reviews with other teams and identifying any potential revenue opportunities
- Leading the revenue delivery of projects driving revenue targets.
- Chairing and assisting the local team in preparing materials for periodic performance meetings.
NETWORK PLANNING (Trains/Yachts)
- Providing commercial insights and challenge Operations during the long-term and short-term Timetables cycles.
- When on sale, working closely with operations and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the capacity planning is aligned with the operational constraints.
REVENUE MANAGEMENT
Yield Management - Completing revenue forecasts in a timely manner to accurately project demand.
- Maximizing cabin/room revenue contribution through a thorough understanding of all booking channels and management of inventory, content, and rates therein.
- Driving incremental revenue and profit for all market segments using a rational, disciplined decision-making process while managing risk under current and anticipated market conditions.
- Guiding the Revenue team at product level as well as ensuring a seamless communication with the Reservations Team/contact centre.
Pricing - Optimizing pricing strategies through definition and management of all rates, rate levels, terms and conditions and other tactics to reflect demand and other market conditions.
- Working with the Sales & Marketing, Brand & Communications to determine effective and engaging promotional offers and packages and ensuring that these offers target the right customer through the right channels.
DISTRIBUTION
Lead the Orient-Express distribution function:
- Lead the Trains Distribution ecosystem roadmap to ensure successful launch of assets: RFP, Roll out & Connectivity with Accor stack, support to our assets.
- Lead the Yachts Distribution ecosystem roadmap to ensure successful launch of assets: RFP, Roll out & Connectivity with Accor stack, support to our assets.
- Work closely with Accor tech and Hotel BDT teams to ensure accuracy and availability system wide.
- Partner with Accor Distribution team(s) to ensure third party rates, availability, and content are accurate and bookable for hotels.
OTHERS
- Understanding, considering, and sharing insights into technology changes and their impact on the business.
- Facilitate the implementation and/or application of Accor policies, procedures, practices, and initiatives.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have strong leadership ability and a minimum of 12 years' experience as a Revenue Director and must be able to illustrate previous successes in a comparable luxury environment. Previous opening experience is required.
Passionate about the hospitality industry, art and culture, heritage, and history, you are passionate about delivering excellence in our guest experience. You will have an understanding and ideally an experience of the cruise or luxury train business and/or tour operating.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Extensive experience with Pricing, RMS, and CRS tools, with a strong track record in developing effective pricing strategies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong business acumen / strategic thinker.
- Strong numerical reasoning / Be familiar with the latest digital platforms.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Team leader.
- Fluency in French and English is required, along with eligibility to work in France.
