Job Description
As our Sommelier, you are responsible for all things wine and development of the culture of wine within your venue. You will work alongside a team of wine and beverage professionals and report to the Head Sommelier.
This role will have responsibility for executing the Head Sommelier's wine list and assisting with suggestions, ideation and on-going maintenance. You will always be promoting wine experiences and wine sale, while maintaining high standards of processes and procedures throughout the venue and back of house.
You should be constantly improving your own knowledge of wine, and mentoring and training all those around you in a both structured and on-the-job capacity. Development of a wine /beverage team, professional culture and being able to train on all things wine is a priority.
Recruitment of a like minded wine team also comes under your responsibility. Utilising your professional network, LinkedIn and/or social media to recruit and responding to recruitment drives are part of your role.
