Job Description

Become a key player in our vibrant finance team and lead the payroll function for our distinguished property. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Payroll Specialist to provide accurate and efficient payroll services. You'll have the opportunity to participate in exciting payroll-related projects, making a significant impact across our business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the end-to-end weekly payroll cycle, from processing and reviewing to submitting for payment, as well as managing reporting requirements.
• Preparing and verifying monthly accruals for salaries, wages, and on-costs.
• Assisting in the month-end closing process, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
• Calculating termination, redundancy, and other payments.
• Managing the payroll financial year-end process.
• Handling monthly and yearly reporting cycles, including Superannuation, Payroll Tax, FBT, and WGEA.
• Collaborating with Talent & Culture to manage payroll inquiries and ensure compliance.

• A strong track record of success in a similar role (hospitality industry experience preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of HIGA award, superannuation, and taxation
• Experience with Zambion is highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience working effectively with both employees and management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and a keen attention to detail
