Job Description
As our next MICE Sales Executive - Large Events you will be responsible for fielding and responding to event enquiries (101 pax or more), converting them into bookings and then planning the event in conjunction with all relevant Hotel Departments. The MICE Executive is responsible for ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with Novotel standards and current legislation.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling conference and events sales enquiries in a timely and professional manner, following established procedures and the hotel's selling strategy
- Taking a pro-active lead in all Event enquiries
- Ensuring effective communication in providing detailed information for all bookings to the Hotel Departments to ensure successful event delivery
- Conducting thorough show rounds of the hotel for potential and existing clients
- Maximizing revenue opportunities and supporting further sales activities within the hotel, finding innovative ways to increase sales opportunities through proactive selling and upselling opportunities
- Identifying and collecting sales leads, as well as growing and developing existing customer relationships through regular contact
- Attending any site visits, planning meetings, tastings or other occasions as required by a client
- Prepare and presenting the weekly Function Sheet on schedule
- Carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel sales or meetings and events role
- Knowledge of the London market
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced sales environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent decision-making ability and a high degree of integrity
- Must be legally eligible to work in UK
