Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Guest Service Associate (GSA) - Front Office to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. As the face of our hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences from check-in to check-out.
- Warmly greet and welcome guests, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and empathetically
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and events to assist guests
- Process reservations, room assignments, and billing accurately
- Manage cash transactions and reconcile accounts at the end of each shift
- Collaborate with the front office team to ensure smooth operations and excellent service
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Hotel Management Graduate / Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication abilities in English; multilingual skills are a plus
- Proven experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Proficiency in hotel management software and reservation systems
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic accounting and cash handling abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hotel operations and front office procedures
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Additional Information
- Responsible for daily administration, meeting and greeting, dealing with guests' queries and complaints, and booking rooms. visitors
- Maintain high standards of customer services at the Reception desk so that customers' expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Motivate and develop Reception team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
- Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach should be brought to the attention of the Management.
