At Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, our exclusive lifestyle hotel floor, Fairmont Gold, offers a unique hotel-within-a-hotel experience. It features 51 newly renovated guest rooms and our exclusive Fourteenth Floor Heritage Suite Collection. The Fairmont Gold experience includes personalized concierge service, private check-in, an exclusive lounge with daily food & beverage offerings, and elevated amenities.

What you will be doing:- Consistently offer friendly, professional, and proactive guest service
- Lead and supervise the Fairmont Gold floor to ensure Fairmont Gold standards are upheld
- Address guest concerns promptly, tracking and notifying the proper departments to guarantee memorable moments for guests
- Monitor the maintenance and appearance of the Fairmont Gold product (rooms, lounge, food & beverage, etc.)
- Review all Fairmont Gold reservations to ensure guest requests are met or exceeded
- Provide exceptional concierge service, offering detailed information about local attractions and activities
- Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
- Ensure the highest possible revenue and rate integrity for Fairmont Gold rooms, collaborating with the Front Office team on daily upsell programs
- Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards
- Adhere to all safety policies
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:- A service-focused personality is essential, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in food & beverage required
- Previous supervisory experience in guest service is a strong asset
- Serving It Right certification required
- Experience working with Opera or a related Property Management System required
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to lead by example
- Knowledge of Metro Vancouver, its history, activities, and attractions
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional appearance/presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Computer literate in all Microsoft Windows applications required
- Ability to type at least 55 words per minute
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings and late nights
The Physical Job Requirements Include (but are not limited to):- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
- Occasional kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 lbs
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
