Job Description
What you will be doing:- Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the overall business goals, ensuring technology investments support long-term growth.
- Oversee all IT systems' installation, configuration, and maintenance, including property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, guest Wi-Fi, telecommunications, and back-office systems.
- Ensure that the networks and data are protected from cyber threats through the implementation of robust security measures, including firewalls, encryption, and regular audits.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely support for software, hardware, and network services.
- Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, new technology rollouts, and infrastructure improvements.
- Recruit, train, and supervise IT staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the hotel's technology needs.
- Ensure that technology enhances the guest experience, providing seamless services such as high-speed internet, in-room entertainment, and efficient booking and check-in/check-out processes.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology solutions and resource allocation.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hotel technology and recommend innovations that can improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure the smooth running of operations.
- Informing management about the status and progress of IT initiatives.
- Regular participation in HOD meetings
- Technical support for all employees and guest if needed as well as the organization of employee training to ensure the efficient use of IT systems and tools.
- Troubleshooting of IT issues that arise.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years of IT management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking, cybersecurity, server management, and software applications relevant to the hotel industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams, vendors, and complex projects.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of hotel staff and guests.
Additional Information
Salary Range: $85K - $110K USD
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
