Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Food and Beverage to join our team at [Hotel Name], a stylish and vibrant lifestyle hotel that is currently opening. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our food and beverage offerings, leading our culinary team, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-Opening Planning: Collaborate with the General Manager and other department heads to develop and implement food and beverage concepts, menus, and operational procedures.
2. Recruitment and Training: Hire, train, and develop a high-performing food and beverage team, ensuring that all staff are knowledgeable about our offerings and provide exceptional guest service.
3. Menu Development: Create innovative, seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and flavors, and appeal to our target market.
4. Operational Setup: Oversee the setup and installation of food and beverage equipment, supplies, and technology.
5. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage food and beverage budgets, controlling costs and optimizing profitability.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all food and beverage outlets meet our high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
7. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote our food and beverage offerings, creating engaging campaigns and events.
8. Guest Experience: Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience.
9. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, minimizing risk and liability.
Qualifications
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
3. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in food and beverage operations, menu planning, and cost control.
4. Certifications: Food safety certification (e.g., HACCP) and hospitality industry certifications (e.g., CHA, CHT) preferred.
