Job Description
As aCommis - In Room Dining, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in their rooms. You will assist the In Room Dining team in delivering an exclusive and luxurious dining experience, meeting the high standards expected by a five-star hotel.
Employment will be under local contract. Open for Indonesian citizens only
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of food and beverages according to the specified menu, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring each order meets the hotel's aesthetic and taste expectations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders to guest rooms, providing a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards as per hotel regulations and health guidelines.
- Work closely with fellow team members in In Room Dining and other departments to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
- Assist in the monitoring and management of stock and supplies used in In Room Dining, ensuring that stock levels are adequate for daily operations.
- Provide friendly, professional service in line with hotel standards, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction during their in-room dining experience.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum of a high school diploma (preferably in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field).
- A vocational or professional qualification in hospitality or culinary studies would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., commis, waiter/waitress, or kitchen assistant) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with high-end service standards is a plus, especially in the In Room Dining
- Understanding of food preparation techniques, presentation standards, and the ability to assist in the preparation of dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene practices, and proper handling of food and beverages.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize orders, and deliver food to guests on time
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is preferred, as it is the primary language of communication in many luxury hotels.
