Job Description
The Role
Ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the Stewarding Department cleaning processes and maintenance of health, safety and hygiene in all F&B areas
Taking ownership of all Food & Beverage back of house areas and common usage spaces
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
Planning & organizing:
Overall organisation and team management of the Stewarding DepartmentCreate and maintain all budgets Operations: The ability to manage sections, shifts and teams of stewards in order to achieve a smooth, safe and hygienic environmentThe ability to work together with all staff harmoniouslyTo have thorough knowledge of the use of all operating equipment and cleaning processTo be aware of and implement the hotel hygiene and sanitation standards and proceduresTo be aware of the hotel fire and life safety standards and proceduresEnsure cleanliness and order of all stewarding storesPractice economy of supplies, electricity and water whenever possibleCo-operate and work as a teamPrepares adequate and appropriate equipment for projected F&B needsEnsure that equipment is replaced in the correct areas after usageResponsible for the following as assigned (where applicable):Kitchen overnight cleaningEnsure that the following is implemented to facilitate effective cleaning: - Correct procedures according to standards
- Correct cleaning agents and quantity
- Correct type of cleaning equipment
Proper handling & storing of equipment (e.g. appropriate temperature control of machine)Assist in any other functions & areas as informed by the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef Administration: Maintain all records in a timely and accurate manner Generic Aspects on Hygiene / Personal Safety / Environment/Confidentiality:- Ensure proper care of all equipment and furniture entrusted for Heartists use.
- Be well-familiar with the hotel's policies and procedures, well-acquainted with the physical layout of the hotel and its premises and knowledgeable of the hotel's emergency procedures in regard to fire, medical, bomb threat, black-out and evacuation.
- Knows the safety regulations and ensures their application & ensures the safety of people and property in the hotel.
- Respects and ensures respect of the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc).
- Understands and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Heartists Handbook and the Hotel's policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
- Ensure that confidential records and other confidential information are properly safeguarded and are not removed from the office.
- Does not disclose any financial information or any other information of the Accor Hotels.

Qualifications
Experience within hospitality is preferred
