Job Description
Basin Glacial Waters is a brand new, highly anticipated Wellness Facility that will offer guests a truly luxurious experience. As part of our leadership team, the Facility Supervisor will have the opportunity to interact with patrons while providing a once in a lifetime experience while also adhering to specific standards and supporting the overall success of the department.
Pay Rate: $26.87/Hour
Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Wellness Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job function include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain an inventory of supplies used in the administration of the Basin
- Complete monthly inventory and ordering in tandem with the leadership team
- Provide administrative assistance to the Wellness Operations Manager through daily scheduling and payroll
- Ensure the proper procedures in the operations of the facility for Health and Safety purposes
- Processes and oversees special requests of customers
- Keep up to date reports and ensure that they are accurately processed i.e. CASD reporting
- Work in collaboration with the Basin Leadership team on projects, events, special requests.
- Responsible for the efficient training of reception staff in terms of work-related tasks and participate in training and development of current and future employees
- Ensure effective communication between all departments in relation to the operations of the receiving department.
- Follow all Fairmont Hotels and Resorts policies.
- Maintain effective communication with the Pool Operator and Wellness Operations Manager to ensure preventative maintenance process in the facility
- Responsible for maintaining the Basin premises; clean, replenish stock of all amenities, toiletries and linens and answer any guest inquiries
- Support in dispensing robes, towels and sandals to guests
- Ensuring that all public areas of the facility are clean and reflect a luxury experience for our guests
- Support the Lounge Servers in clearing
- Maintain locker rooms in a tidy manner, check and clean lockers when needed
- Direct members/guests to appointments and assist them with use of sauna, steam whirlpool etc.
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience an asset
- Previous spa, housekeeping or cleaning experience an asset
- Are dedicated to a high level of customer service and attention to detail
- Must be able to lift, carry and pull over 30+ lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift. Motions include: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, climbing up and down the stairs.
- Have excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
- Proactive Skill Set - Spa experience an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
