Job Description For Bar Team Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Bar Team Associate to join our vibrant establishment in Dartford, United Kingdom. As a key member of our bar team, you will play a crucial role in creating an enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Greet customers warmly and take drink orders promptly and accurately
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately
Restock bar supplies and assist with inventory management
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on drink selections to enhance customer experience
Enforce responsible drinking policies and age verification procedures
Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area for events or promotions

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Strong customer service orientation and ability to work well under pressure
Basic maths skills for handling cash and card transactions accurately
Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including popular cocktails
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred
Personal Licence is desirable but not essential
Food Hygiene Certificate is advantageous
Must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcohol (as per UK law)
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
