Job Description
Job Title: Banquet House Person (Casual)Hourly Rate: $21.92Engaging service, delicious cuisine and distinctive surroundings make every special event a truly memorable affair. Showcase your service and organization strengths as
Banquet House Person, where your attention to detail, safety and quality will help "set the stage" for a successful group function.
What you will be doing:- Set-up and breakdown of functions, including transporting equipment to/from storage via the Cushman cart
- Provide any service required by the guests on the banquet floor
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace
- Adhere to the State of Hawaii & Environmental Health Consultancy standards
- Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any malfunctioning equipment
- Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
- Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:- One year Food & Beverage experience
- Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally
- Must possess basic computational ability
Licenses or Certificates - Must have and be able to maintain a valid Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract.
Education- High School diploma or equivalent or vocational training is an asset
