Continuing our tradition of 20+ years, Convotherm is once again the main partner for this global competition which culminates in the Grand Final at Sirha Lyon at Eurexpo, France from 22 to 23 January 2023.
We will be providing cutting-edge combi oven technology for the participants. Every appliance will be branded, providing great exposure for us in front of an international audience of world-class chefs and gastronomy experts. Not to mention the 4,000 exhibitors and 200,000 trade visitors who attend Sirha Lyon, the world’s leading food service event.
The competition is also broadcast live around the world.
BOCUSE D'OR: "a laboratory of excellence"
For 35 years, the BOCUSE D'OR has been an unrivaled international event that sets out to inspire the world of gastronomy by highlighting the latest trends in world cuisine, spurred on at each edition by new generations of chefs. It is also the favorite venue for many countries to promote their cuisine, their local produce, and their chef.
Over a period of two years, following a series of seventy national events and four continental events, only 24 chefs make it through to the Grand Final.
Seafood is the main platter theme
The theme for this year's competition is monkfish, accompanied by scallops, along with two vegetable garnishes. In addition, competitors must serve a garnish made from a vegetable native to their country, mussels, and an individual crouton of their own composition.
NEW for 2023 - Promoting health for children
This year, instead of the plate contest, the organizers are launching the 'Feed the kids' contest. Candidates must produce a full squash-based menu in an effort to promote health and culinary education.
