Position Description:
We are looking for experienced WIPER ready to join cruise vessel LE LAPEROUSEEmbarkation 28/March/2025
Contract 1 month +/- 10 days - temporary employment, RED SEA crossing !
Salary in USD/per month worked - to be advised upon interview.
The Wiper is to assist the 1st Engineer/Chief Mechanic//Engineer Officer of the Watch/Incinerator Operator/dedicated
Engineer Officer responsible for environmental equipment in the completion of their day to day / watch keeping
activities including but not limited to;
• Undertaking tasks utilising safe systems of work
• The Wiper is responsible for the daily maintenance and cleaning of specific engine parts as directed by the
Staff Chief Engineer/1st Engineer/Engineer Officer of the Watch/Chief Mechanic/Engineer responsible for
environmental equipment.
• Provides general assistance to licensed engineers and superior engine room ratings in different tasks in the
engine room.
• General maintenance and repair of the various machinery and equipment as directed.
• General cleaning and painting of the engine room, trash pickup, tools and instruments pick up and cleaning.
• Refer all technically related problems to the Staff Chief Engineer.
• Assist with the operation and control of incinerators and shredders in a safe manner, as applicable according
to ship specific operation, taking into consideration the hazards associated and ensuring proper segregation
of waste being input and as directed by the Incinerator Operator.
• Assist with the collection of shipboard waste and to ensure all waste is properly prepared to be processed into
the incinerator, shredders, compactor, or stored in cold store.
• Always be present in the Incinerator Room while the incinerator is in use.
• Obtain permission from the bridge before starting any operations (burning in the incinerator).
• Other departmental and reasonable tasks as directed
• Participates in emergency response, safety drills, training & development as directed

Additional Duties
• Must be flexible in the role in regards to area of designated work - is expected to assist as and when required
according to the priority of the vessel's operation as dictated by the Staff Chief Engineer.
