Position Description:
We are currently searching for an experienced Waiter to join Hebridean/Island Sky cruise vessels.
The MS Hebridean Sky and MS Island Sky are sister vessels, the 118-passenger, all-suite vessels are one of the finest small ships in the world and benefits from unusually spacious accommodation, public areas and outside decks.
The Waiter is responsible for:
Efficient day to day running of the restaurant section, including, but not limited to, an efficient and cost-effective dining service operation
Assisting the Head Waiter in achieving the lowest possible food,inventory and linen cost and minimum waste and breakage while serving food for guests, officers and crew to a quantity and standard that ensures customer satisfaction across all areas
Correct handling and preparation of food items and ready to eat products to ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, food safety and food and drink presentation at every stage
Correct handling and preparation of crockery, glassware, cutlery and
linen to ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, food safety and food and drink presentation at every stage
Demonstrating an understanding of menu content, ingredients andaccompaniments, making recommendations where appropriate and remembering guest preferences
Meeting the specific dietary needs of guests, officers and crew
With our current network of over 10,000 leisure specific crew, the largest independant crew network in the industry, we aim to support all crewing requirements in the cruise industry.
