Position Description:
We are looking for Assistant Refrigeration Engineer for ROYAL CARIBBEAN GROUP
Embarkation January/February 2025
Salary in USD//per month worked - will be informed upon interview!

BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible to Chief Refrigeration Engineer for operation, maintenance and repair of the ventilation, provision, galley and bar equipment, ice rink (where applicable) and all air conditioning equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be advised that RCL places the highest value on the environment, and all employees shall do the same. Those assigned to this position shall work with superiors and subordinates to understand and comply with the company's environmental policies and be committed to safeguard the environment. He shall directly and immediately inform his immediate superior if any environmental system does not function properly. Ensure that all ventilation, cooling, freezing equipment, ice rink cooling equipment and all air conditioning equipment is kept in full and proper working condition. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in training of the personnel in his division in safety procedures and assigned duties. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in proper maintenance and repair of all refrigerators, walk in coolers, cold water drinking fountains, mini-bar (with refrigerant gas), ice making machines. Assist the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the proper maintenance and condition of the ships safety systems such as fire dampers, shut of dampers, remote shut down and Gaylord systems for all air-conditioning and ventilation ducts. Additional routines and work as assigned by supervisor. Required Qualifications Formal education within HVAC & Refrigeration.
Minimum three years of experience within Industrial or Commercial Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air Condition.
Preferred Qualifications Education or working experience within Automation & Electronics. Have good mechanical skills, use of power tools and welding equipment.
Internal Candidate Requirements Minimum two years within the company, preferable onboard technical team. No written warnings on file within the last 6 months Minimum two recommendations for promotion from two different Managers. The two last sign off evaluations must meet company expectation throughout all categories.
Language Requirements Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and employees. Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, management and other. Co-workers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be physically able to participate in emergency situations on site, which include emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
