Dubai, UAE, May 25, 2021 For those missing a taste of home, modern European restaurant The Hidden Hog in DIFC will host The Great British Roast on Saturday 29 May from 7pm to 10.30pm a one-off foodie feast that promises to bring comforting English flavours to Dubai's expat community.
Priced at AED 227 for a three-course meal, or AED 297 with the addition of two hours of free-flowing beverages, The Great British Roast will see a selection of sharing-style starters served to guests, followed by a sumptuous traditional roast with all the trimmings and a classic dessert.
Kick-starting the joyous affair, guests can enjoy refreshments including a Pimm's cup, varied ginantonic infusions, whiteandred wine, or beer, while sharing-style starters make way from the kitchen. On the menu, diners will find options like Waldorf salad, salt rosemary focaccia, potato croquette, eggsandParma ham, as well as charcuterie boards generously stocked with pork cold cuts and cheese.
For the main event, a duo of meat allows guests to enjoy both slow-cooked black angus ribeye and tender pork spare ribs on their roast dinner, paired with classic Yorkshire puddings, roasted new potatoes, vegetable gratin, asparagus with butterand lemon, and roasted broccoli and garlic not forgetting lashings of gravy to drizzle atop.
No traditional British fare is complete without pudding, and the classic Eton mess is sure to impress.
