DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with Supervisor and shift engineers to carry out the maintenance request.
Responsible for repair and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment and minor installations. Completes jobs as per job cards for the Preventive Maintenance Program.
To ensure kitchen equipment, laundry machine, freezer working properly.
To ensure maintenance job orders are finished on time. Completes the planned preventive maintenance program.
Completes all job cards, history card, equipment card, logbook and checklist.
To ensure defect free room. Maintain all distribution system for electricity, water, and gas. Maintain and operate air conditioning, hot water, cold water, H.VAC and refrigeration system.
Maintain daily logbooks pertaining to air conditioning, water, light and power. Supervise work performed by subordinates and provide assistance.
Perform other duties as assigned from time to time. Ensure tank water levels are OK, fuel & oil levels are OK, gas enough for hotel supply at all time. Report for any abnormal incidents happened and record such incidents in log book.
To ensure of all Engineering plants working properly as per schedule. Responsible for checking and ensuring every concerned equipment is running in good condition. Responsible to ensuring that plant room and equipment areas are kept clean at all times.
Exhibit Vigilant and watch keeping duties through-out his shift and makes adjustments to plant room equipment as deemed necessary to ensure efficient operation. Assist Supervisor in order to execute, supervise and or lead the technician to do the assign job. Do the weekly running test of Generator sets and fire pumps. Do the daily check of cooling tower and clean the cooling tower weekly, control the usage of chemicals in cooling tower and chiller.
Do the weekly check of telephone line / hunting line in PABX. Do daily check of all operation equipment such as kitchen equipment, cold rooms’ compressors, etc. Take immediate action to repair all out of order equipment in order to smooth hotel operation even if needed longer hours to fix. Checks cleanliness of all engineering areas such as, generator sets area, boiler area, chiller area, AHU area, mechanical areas, carpenter areas, control room area, sound system store, mechanical area, etc.
All activity must be reported to supervisor to be written in log book, and highlight the important things to be followed up for the next maintenance or next repair. Do inspection on all electrical panel, especially the electrical panel which used by the units running 24 hours, analyze potential problems, order spare parts which possible be used and spare parts need to change in order to prevent the potential problems. Able to modify and or improved all engineering equipment in order to increase the efficiency and energy saving. Monitor all work done by outside contractor within hotel area regarding to work permit, safety procedures, quality of work, and disturbance to the hotel operations.
Painter/Polisher: Upkeep all Guest rooms and front of the house including Function room, meeting rooms, offices And back of the house. Do painting as required in all areas to maintain the upkeep of hotel using standard and relevant paint and polish. Follow Guest room and public area Painting and polishing preventive maintenance plan.
Carpenter: Upkeep all Guest rooms and front of the house including Function room, meeting rooms, offices And back of the house. Do carpentry work as required in all areas to maintain the upkeep of hotel using standard and relevant wall paper and veneer finishes. Follow Guest room and public area carpentry preventive maintenance plan.
Manage the buffer stock of all kind of bulb in control room in order to replace the bulb ASAP Maintain all SOP for all operating equipment, and cleanliness of all engineering areas. Follow up sudden function or sudden request of equipment in order to meet guest satisfaction. Write clear all activity during working hours in log book & detail report in case of any accident. To take responsibilities in the event of fire, as instructed in the hotel firefighting manual.
