Ashok Kapur is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality, having successfully navigated diverse markets across South-East Asia, India, and the Middle East. His expertise reflects a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, blending strategic foresight with operational excellence. His extensive career portfolio includes prestigious roles with renowned brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Radisson, Marriott, Virgin Atlantic, and American Express. These experiences have honed his ability to craft effective strategies tailored to varied business contexts, enhancing revenue growth and client satisfaction. At Taj Dubai, Ashok has been instrumental in driving the MICE business and leading Global Sales for the Middle East. His leadership has strengthened these sectors, setting new benchmarks for success. One of Ashok’s most notable achievements has been the complete revamp of the events and groups business at Taj Dubai. By introducing flexible and bespoke-e service models, enhancing client presentations, and reimagining guest experiences through creative displays and interactive culinary options, he has elevated the hotel’s reputation for brilliance.
Ashok also conceptualized and launched “GALA by Taj Dubai,” an exclusive outdoor catering service that generated over AED 1.8 million in revenue within its first year and approx. AED 4M since 2021. This bespoke concept has become the preferred choice for high-net-worth individuals and discerning clientele in Dubai. His vision extended to partnerships with mega sporting events, where he secured high-profile collaborations such as the World Tennis League and the World Paddle League. These events not only delivered significant revenue but also solidified Taj Dubai’s standing as a premier destination for global sporting occasions.
His initiatives, such as the introduction of the Revenue Tracker Update System, have streamlined operations, improved conversion rates and reducing response times, thus enhancing efficiency across the board. Kapur’s success is not confined to numbers alone. His charismatic personality, coupled with a resourceful and creative approach, has earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
