Jananatha Prasad Subasinghe joins as the new Executive Sous Chef, while Sanjin Dilaver assumes the role of the new Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.
Jananatha Prasad Subasinghe - Executive Sous Chef
Prasad Subasinghe, an experienced culinary expert, eagerly takes on the role of Executive Sous Chef with passion at Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi. With a career spanning over two decades, he has refined his skills within the Shangri-La Group where he held key culinary positions at Shangri-La Singapore, Shangri-La Dubai and Shangri- La Doha.
Venturing into the dynamic culinary scene of the UAE, Prasad showcased his culinary expertise and versatility across different culinary domains making significant contributions at Atlantis, The Palm Dubai, Intercontinental Dubai – Festival City, W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island and Only&Only Royal Mirage, Dubai.
His gastronomic voyage includes fine dining, banquet operations, and pre-opening experiences. Chef Subasinghe's commitment to excellence shines through achievements such as the 2020 Excellent Service Award in Singapore and multiple awards from the Emirates Culinary Guild between 2008 and 2012 in various categories, along with active participation in prestigious events like Formula-1 in 2021 and 2022.
Holding a Diploma in Hotel Management from Claremont Hotel School, Colombo, Chef Subasinghe's creativity and leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the gastronomic success of Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi.
Sanjin Dilaver - Assistant Director of Food and Beverage:
With an impressive track record in the hospitality industry, Sanjin Dilaver steps into the role of Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Shangri- La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi. He began his journey with the Shangri-La Group as a pre-opening member of the Food and Beverage team at Shangri-La Jeddah, serving as the Hotel Beverage Manager, and later as the General Manager for Shang Palace, Chinese restaurant.
Sanjin's expertise extends to being Group Beverage Manager at OKKU Restaurant in Dubai and Riyadh, showcasing excellence in restaurant
operations. Committed to exceptional service and profitability, he aligns seamlessly with the high standards of Shangri-La and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi.
Sanjin Dilaver graduated from the University of Sarajevo and later earned certifications in Wines and Spirits, Whisky Ambassador, and Cigar Expert, bringing a unique blend of skills to his new role.
