Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi: A Luxurious Oasis for Business and Leisure

As another weekend approaches, the desire to bond with my loved ones and unwind grows strong. Last weekend, we indulged in a luxurious retreat at the Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi - a five-star hotel that boasts exceptional standards and belongs to the esteemed Rixos Hotels and Resorts group. On Friday night, we were pampered in a spacious suite, reveling in the epitome of comfort and sophistication.

Our Abu Dhabi excursion from Dubai had been long overdue, and despite my husband's explanation of the hotel's location, I remained perplexed. As we made our way toward Marina Mall, I couldn't help but question his choice to take us to the Fairmont Hotel. To my surprise, I later discovered that the Rixos Hotel had taken over the right wing of the striking tower on Abu Dhabi Marina, while the left-wing remained under the Fairmont branding.

This iconic tower building stands tall and proud, a remarkable feat of engineering and architecture. Its sleek and modern design commands attention and exudes sophistication. The tower's facade is crafted precisely and boasts a unique design that captures the eye, reflects the vibrant cityscape, and offers breathtaking panoramic views from its upper levels. The towering structure boasts state-of-the-art facilities and amenities, catering to the needs of its occupants and visitors. Its grandeur and magnificence have made it a landmark of the city, a symbol of progress, and a source of pride for the community.

As we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a stunning display of architecture and design that left me in awe. The grand lobby was adorned with a magnificent blue chandelier and a replica F-1 car that caught my son's attention immediately. Upon reaching the front desk, we were greeted by Vidhi, a warm and welcoming staff member who made us feel right at home. Her friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills were a breath of fresh air, and she handled our check-in with great efficiency. We were later introduced to Teoman, a professional gentleman with a unique touch of coolness. His rose tattoos on his hands and fingers added to his stylish demeanor and made quite an impression. Together, Vidhi and Teoman created a delightful first impression of the hotel, and we knew that our stay would be exceptional.

After our check-in process, Teoman kindly offered to take care of our luggage and escorted us to our suite, situated on the 25th floor of the building. As we entered, we were greeted with a breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean that left us speechless. The sight was truly majestic, and we knew that we were in for an unforgettable experience.

Business Hotel or luxury family resort

The Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi is not your typical business hotel, and it's important not to make that assumption when packing for your stay. When my husband first mentioned the location, I immediately assumed that it was a chic and luxurious hotel situated in the bustling business district of Marina. With this in mind, I packed clothing that I thought would be appropriate for such a setting. However, upon arrival, it became clear that the hotel was much more than that. It was a family resort that offered a wide range of activities and amenities to cater to all age groups. My initial concerns about what we would do were quickly put to rest as we discovered the plethora of options available to us during our stay.

Rooms

Our suite was beautifully appointed with a spacious living area featuring chic and modern furniture, a round dining table, and an impressive collection of artifacts and decorative pieces that added to the ambiance of the room. The large glass window that opened up to the ocean view was a breathtaking sight to behold. A coffee machine was thoughtfully placed in the room, adding to the convenience of our stay.

The suite also featured an interconnected office space with a comfortable office chair, a big table, and a large TV screen, making it the perfect space for those looking to conduct online business meetings during their stay. The addition of a small powder room in the hallway added to the overall convenience of the suite.

The bedroom was equally impressive, boasting a luxurious king-sized bed positioned to enjoy the stunning ocean view. Two comfortable chairs with a round table provided the perfect spot for enjoying morning coffee while taking in the magnificent scenery. The room was equipped with a large smart TV, a safe, an iron, and a mini-fridge for our comfort and convenience. The attached bathroom was spacious and thoughtfully designed, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

Additionally, the room was equipped with modern technology for controlling the lights and curtains, adding an extra touch of convenience and luxury to our stay. The ability to control the ambiance of the room with the touch of a button made for a truly comfortable and effortless experience.

Pool and Beach

One of the highlights of our stay at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi was the all-inclusive package that came with our booking. After settling into our room, my son was eager to take a dip in the pool. Despite the warm weather, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was still bearable. So, we quickly changed into our swimsuits and made our way to the pool area.

The hotel boasts three large pools, complete with live music, pool bars, and attentive servers strolling around on roller skates to take orders. There was also a small kiddie pool, which was perfect for families with young children.

In addition to the pool area, the hotel also had a small, private beach that was accessible to all hotel guests. It was the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun while taking in the beautiful scenery.

Dining

Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi boasts an impressive selection of dining options, with six restaurants and four pubs/bars to choose from. With our all-inclusive package, we were able to enjoy dining at any of these restaurants during our stay. The food was not only delicious, but the service was also exceptional.

For breakfast, we opted to dine at Turquoise restaurant, where we were treated to a lavish buffet spread with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I was delighted to find Indian breakfast options on the menu, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, the dining experience at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi was top-notch, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring all the culinary offerings at the hotel.

Activities

Live Music

As the evening approached, the hotel staff transformed the lawn area into a cozy seating area with comfortable couches and tables for guests to enjoy live music under the stars. It was a surreal experience as we lounged on the couches, gazing up at the full moon in the sky and listening to the soothing sound of the ocean waves in the background. The band played their music with passion, creating a perfect ambiance for us to relax and unwind with our loved ones.

Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi offers an exclusive sports club within the hotel premises that caters to fitness enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you want to challenge yourself with TRX or CrossFit, dance to the rhythm with Zumba classes, find your inner peace with relaxing Yoga sessions, or experience the thrill of water sports activities, this sports club has something for everyone.

The Naturelife Spa at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi offers a range of luxurious spa treatments, including massages and facials, to help you unwind and rejuvenate. With its serene and tranquil atmosphere, the spa provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. You can choose from a variety of treatments and therapies, including hot stone massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage, and more. The experienced therapists use the finest natural products to ensure that you leave feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Ramadan Iftar

During Ramadan, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi hosts a beautiful tent where guests can savor Turkish-inspired cuisine while enjoying live music and spending time with family. The decorations are unique and include stunning structures lit for the occasion. The ambiance is fantastic, with a vast spread of delicious food and traditional Ramadan drinks, including Turkish coffee. The menu options range from Arabic and Turkish to Asian and Continental, and there's even an Indian menu. And of course, not to be missed is the traditional Turkish Ice-cream. The staff at the Ramadan tent is incredibly attentive, ensuring that guests' plates are always full and that they enjoy their time.
