Naveed is 36 years old and is a multitalented Financial Controller or LEAD Finance as we say here at RED! But is he LEAD Finance only? In less than a minute you will get to know it…
Here’s his journey so far…. he grew up in Mumbai and wanted to be either a professional cricket player or a professional dancer.
He did do a lot of dance choreography during his university days and was also a professional dancer during that period. Once he went for his Masters in Cyprus and found one more passion of his – Finance and Business.
This passion led him to Kuwait where he joined the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait as a trainee and soon evolved from Income Auditor to Credit Manager and from Chief Accountant to Assistant Financial Controller.
In 2019, after the successful task force in Radisson Blu Media City, Naveed became a part of the pre-opening leadership team of the first Radisson RED in the Middle East, here in Dubai – he was one of the youngest FCs in the RHG MEA Region as LEAD Finance.
The sky has no limits for Naveed. During the pandemic times Naveed took over HR a responsibility where he shines due to his people-friendly and fun-loving nature.
He goes from strength to strength, not only leading his departments but now taking a very active role leading the hotel team in the absence of the Curator aka General Manager of the hotel. Naveed works well with all the hotel teams. He is very well respected and trusted.
FC + HR + GM (in the GM’s absence) – quite a lot on Naveed’s shoulders. But he sees it differently and has accepted another challenge.
Pursuing his career goal to develop and grow with RHG Naveed has decided to dig deeper into operations. Effective from February 2024 he took over F&B department including 3 bars and restaurants along with the Meeting&Events management + operations. He let his Assistant HR manager Karthika Anil continue her HR journey by herself – Naveed shared his HR knowledge and expertise with her, raised a talented HR Manager.
Dance and sport – do those passions of his have room in his life?
Naveed starred in and choreographed many music videos for Radisson RED DSO, including one for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, HOD dances for staff parties, etc. Naveed leads the RED cricket team successfully participating in inter-hotels cricket matches along with.

Naveed has a strong future ahead of him…the question is does his path lie in Ops as a future GM or in Finance iin more senior roles….which ‘dance style’ will he choose?!’
