Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel to Broadcast Live Coverage of King's Coronation
Celebrate the historic event while enjoying sumptuous meals and live entertainment onboard the QE2.
Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel has announced that it will be broadcasting live coverage of the highly anticipated coronation ceremony of Their Majesties King Charles III & Queen Camilla, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 6.
In an effort to provide its guests with a unique and immersive experience, the hotel will set up large screens in its ballroom and other dining venues, allowing guests to watch the historic event as it unfolds.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer our guests the chance to watch this historic moment live," said Ferghal Purcell, General Manager. "We believe that this will be a once-in-a-lifetime event, and we wanted to create a special atmosphere for our guests to enjoy it in."
Guests will have a range of dining options to choose from during the coronation event. The Queens Room, which is one of the ship's most iconic and grand spaces, will serve a British-themed buffet while the coronation is displayed on a giant LED screen. For those seeking an elegant and luxurious atmosphere, the Queens Grill will serve a distinctive 3-course lunch based on British favourites while displaying the coronation on numerous TV screens. Additionally, the Golden Lion, the oldest pub in Dubai, will offer classic pub dishes like fish and chips, bangers and mash, and shepherd's pie, while broadcasting the coronation on multiple TV screens.
