Job Description For Reservation Agent

Handles all room reservations and any inquiries about rates/packages/promotions via phone,and internet in a timely manner, . All work shall be done in accordance with the company and/or brand requirements and service principles.

Handles incoming reservations received through the following channels and enters them into the computer:
The telephone
Telefax E-mail/Internet
Processes and adds amendments and cancellations.
Knows the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout.
Knows the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packagesplans.
Knows the creditpolicy of the hotel and how to code each reservation.
Creates and maintains reservation records by date of arrival.
Responds to enquiries and reservations through fax and e-mail as they come in.
Sell the best rated room to meet the guest's needs; maximize rate for all reservations.
Access all functions of computer system according to established procedures and standards.
