Job Description For Head of Digital
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and technologically adept Head of Digital to lead and enhance our hotel's digital initiatives. This role focuses on transforming our website, marketing tools, loyalty program, and newsletter strategies to align with cutting-edge digital practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong IT background, coupled with extensive experience in digital marketing within the hospitality industry.
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Development and Management:
- Oversee the redesign and continuous optimization of the hotel's website to ensure a seamless user experience, mobile responsiveness, and high conversion rates.
- Implement advanced SEO strategies to enhance organic search visibility and drive qualified traffic.
- Collaborate with web developers and designers to integrate the latest technologies and functionalities.
Digital Marketing Tools Optimization:
- Evaluate, implement, and manage state-of-the-art digital marketing tools and platforms to automate and enhance marketing efforts.
- Utilize data analytics to monitor campaign performance, user engagement, and ROI, making data-driven decisions to optimize strategies.
- Stay abreast of emerging digital marketing trends and technologies to keep the hotel's marketing efforts at the forefront of the industry.
Loyalty Program Enhancement:
- Design, implement, and optimize a customer-centric loyalty program that delivers tangible value and resonates with target customer segments.
- Leverage CRM systems to personalize guest experiences and communications, fostering increased loyalty and repeat business.
- Analyze program metrics to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Newsletter and Content Strategy:
- Develop and execute an engaging newsletter strategy that aligns with the brand's voice and keeps guests informed about promotions, events, and news.
- Ensure content is tailored to different customer segments, utilizing personalization techniques to enhance relevance and engagement.
- Monitor performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions to continually refine content strategies.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of digital marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as IT, sales, and customer service to ensure cohesive digital strategies and implementations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to augment internal capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a digital leadership role within the hospitality industry, with a strong emphasis on IT and technological advancements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing websites, digital marketing tools, loyalty programs, and content strategies.
- Deep understanding of current digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, including SEO, SEM, CRM, and email marketing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
