Rohit brings over 20 years of experience to lead the first Anantara in India
Global hospitality group Minor Hotels is pleased to announce the appointment of Rohit Pandey as General Manager of Anantara Jaipur Hotel, a new-build hotel set to launch later this year as the luxury brand’s debut in India.
Rohit joins Minor Hotels from The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru in India, where he most recently served as the five-star property’s Hotel Manager. Rohit joined the hotel in 2020 as part of its pre-opening team, where he led strategies to drive revenue, the development of food and beverage concepts and the recruitment of the hotel team.
Rohit’s career spans more than two decades, working for brands such as Marriott International, Centara Hotels & Resorts, Dusit Thani Hotels & Resorts, One & Only Resorts, Aman Resorts, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Taj Hotels and Minor Hotels’ Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas and Avani Hotels & Resorts. A seasoned pre-opening hotelier, Rohit has held various food and beverage and operations roles at hotels and resorts in India, the Maldives, Seychelles and Thailand.
An Indian national, Rohit graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology in Gwalior, India.
At Minor Hotels, Rohit will lead the launch and positioning of the group’s first Anantara in India, working alongside Amir Golbarg, Senior Vice President – Middle East, Africa and India, and Vijay Krishnan Vazhvelil, Vice President – Operations, India.

The hotel is set to become a premier destination for weddings and celebrations, with its indoor and outdoor venues accommodating up to 2,500 guests. The property will feature an assortment of dining options, such as a specialty Indian fine-dining restaurant, a rooftop bar and restaurant with stunning views of the surrounding landscape, an all-day dining eatery and a bar lounge and terrace.
