The hotel supports the Can Collection Day Campaign organized by Emirates Environmental Group
As part of the hotel Green Key and Sustainability initiatives, the Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai participated in the can collection day organized by Emirates Environmental Group or EEG last 24th February 2022 under the motto “CANcel the Linear, Enable the Circular”. It is the 26th cycle of ‘Can Collection Day’ campaign organized by EEG and the collection target set for 2022 is 20,000 kg of aluminum cans. The hotel Human Resources team led the participation and the team has collected 32kg of cans and delivered to EEG.
Mr. Simon Moore, General Manager of Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai, said, “As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we are always glad to support Environmental initiatives such as the Can Collection campaign to maintain, protect and preserve our environment for better future. We believe every can counts in reducing our carbon footprint.”
The “Can Collection Campaign” was the first awareness and action-oriented programme initiated by EEG in September 1997 that gained tremendous support from all sectors of the society; be it government, private sector, academic institutions or families. The campaign has set a benchmark across the UAE as one that allows the local community to actively express their commitment and concerns towards the protection of the environment.
