The experience of working with leading 5-star chains of the Oberoi, Hyatt Regency, Raddison, Le Royal Meridien, Intercontinental the Grand, and Al Hamra Fort Hotel, provided the grit and resolve to establish and manage food and beverage facilities for these world-class hospitality establishments. This enabled mastering the science, technology and the art of perfectly and consistently executing menus from various cultures across the globe.
The restaurant captures the exquisite experience and knowledge gained through F&B concepts from around the world, but pays homage to the first cuisine I mastered, North Indian.
The story begins with my childhood school-going days, when I used to see my mother experimenting and perfecting the dishes she prepared and served. My mother was an expert cook, who made dainty dishes for us at home. The sensory profiles of these dishes; the love and warmth that went into their preparation encouraged me to learn the fine art of cooking.
My rendezvous with the kitchen became my passion and slowly took roots to gain formal education to start a career in the hospitality industry. After four decades of engagement with the kitchen at home, and the professional journey of catering endeavours across the globe, the concept of Jalfrezi is fashioned.
