Ryan Rogers Recognized with the TIAC’s 30 Under 30 Achiever Award
Tourism Industry Association of Canada honor 30 individuals, 30 years of age and younger across Canada.
Algonquin Anishnaabeg Territory (Ottawa, ON) – November 23, 2022 – Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada’s Communications Manager, Ryan Rogers, was recognized with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada’s (TIAC) 30 Under 30 Achiever Award.
“Ryan is the consummate professional, and this award is well-earned,” says Keith Henry, President and Chief Executive Officer of ITAC. “It’s been a pleasure watching him develop over the years and I’m really excited to see what’s next for him—Indigenous tourism is fortunate to have his energy and passion.”
This award recognizes up to 30 individuals, 30 years of age and younger across Canada, working in tourism and their contribution to the development of a vibrant and professional industry.
A proud member of the Musqueam Nation, Rogers completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC Sauder School of Business in April 2020. Starting as an intern with the Indigenous Tourism Association of BC, Rogers now has over six years of experience in the Indigenous tourism industry. Quickly recognized for his professionalism and leadership skills, Rogers joined ITAC as Marketing Coordinator in July 2019 and was promoted to Communications Manager in April 2022. In his role as Communications Manager, Rogers has worked with international media to help educate and promote Indigenous tourism globally and help build a viable industry.
Presented at the Air Canada Luncheon at The Westin Ottawa hotel as part of the annual Tourism Congress held by TIAC on November 22, 2022, the award recognizes the tourism industry’s future leaders.
