Job Description For Cheif Steward

Cheif Steward

Duties and Responsibility:

Supervise the Stewards and Support the Team Members in training and development
Manage the stewarding function in all kitchen areas to promote overall cleanliness, sanitation and compliance with state and local health regulations
Oversee the Cleaning chemicals and sanitization of utensils, equipment, and dishes according to procedures.
Report faults, misused or damaged equipment issues to the Managers, Executive Chef, and/or Chief Engineering
Ensure the correct PPE is in place and guidelines are adhered to
Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Management

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Previous experience, required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role with proven results.
High school diploma or equivalent and two years’ experience in stewarding, kitchen maintenance, kitchen operations or similar, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
