The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi
Offering over a two week-long calendar of activities, the festive season at The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi will be themed around music and colours, with each day representing a different mood and tone through distinctive shades. With a series of activities and gastronomic adventures on the cards, the festivities start on the 23rd December with a Sayaai Hedhikaa high tea, Maldivian beach games for children and dinner finished off with candlelight yoga. Christmas Eve kicks off with the arrival of Santa Claus himself, followed by an adults Chakra meditation session to soothe the soul whilst little ones indulge in a Christmas party of their own. With a Christmas Gala drawing the 24th to a close, the big day offers a fantastic jazz, wine and dine dinner. A myriad of activities will close the gap to the New Year, and 2018 will culminate with a grand royal feast followed by a DJ dance off on the beach, counting guests into 2019. Whilst adults dance under the stars, little ones can enjoy their own picnic on Castaway Island in the day followed by a kid-friendly countdown to the New Year. Whilst the spa will offer some fantastic packages and daily yoga, the dive centre will be have complimentary Lagoon Snorkelling Treasure Hunts for all those staying during the festive season.
The Residence Mauritius
With a ‘Flowers and Fragrance of the World’ theme, the festive season at The Residence Mauritius is set to fill noses with divine exotic smells. From the 22nd of December 2018 until the 6th of January 2019, the talented team of chefs will send diners on a magical exploration of culinary flavours, represented by a different type of flower each day. Carnations will celebrate Spanish roots and Plum Blossom will fill plates with Chinese delights, Ylang-Ylang will play the part of the resort, which will fill the Christmas Day buffet with delicious savoury and sweet recipes. African Tulips will represent delicious African cuisine and Poinsettia will showcase British classics. The year will finish on a sweet note with the Rose, one of the most famous and beloved of all. To bring in the New Year, the resort will take guests a trip around the World of Roses to discover the rich and complex array of the world cuisine awaiting to be explored.
The Residence Zanzibar
At The Residence Zanzibar, to enhance your stay, we have tailor-made a complete themed program based around the Tales of Karamu, every night during the festive season, the resort will share a Zanzibar tale on the beach. Kicking off with a dolphin excursion and sunset cruise on the 22nd December, join Chef Harish for a fruit carving demonstration on 23rd December and on 24th December join the club for Heena Tattoo, Special buffet lunch with unique live bands starting from 22ndDecember. On the Christmas Eve Gala dinner will showcase an acoustic trio followed by a snorkeling excursion on the morning of Christmas Day. With Santa arriving around midday just in time for spot of lunch with live performance by acoustic trio, the afternoon will commence with a tug of war (where the guests take on the managers) followed by a sunset cruise and dinner accompanied live band entertainment. With an array of activities taking place between Christmas and New Year, the countdown to 2019 starts with a cocktail reception followed by a Karamu night under the stars with live music and an acrobatic show. As the year draws to a close, The Residence Zanzibar will celebrate with a mesmerizing Waka Waka fireworks display followed by a sendoff with sky lanterns being let off into the sky.
The Residence Tunis
With food found at the centre of The Residence Tunis’s festivities, the fun starts on Christmas Eve with an array of delicious treats at L’Olivier restaurant. Christmas Day kicks off with a traditional mass service for those who want to join, with complimentary transfers to and from Saint Vincent de Paul et Sainte Olive, the Cathedral of Tunis. Once back at the resort, L’Olivier restaurant will put on an impressive festive spread, featuring everyone’s favourites. As Christmas draws to a close, the hotels gears up for the final few days of 2018, beginning with an Oriental Night on 29th December at El Dar and a visit to the magical Palace Baron D’Erlanger Sidi Bou Said Village on the 30th. New Year’s Eve starts with diners getting to pick their preferred location for one final 2018 feast, either at Li Bai or L’Olivier, followed by a evening of live music, an oriental dance show and DJ in the hotel’s impressive ballroom.
