The St. Regis Saadiyat Resort, Abu Dhabi are Getting Out the Matches for Earth Hour
Get involved in the world’s biggest environmental event on March 30 by enjoying a candlelit dinner at the stunning beachside resort.
Abu Dhabi, UAE – A WWF initiative, Earth Hour invites people around the world to turn off their lights between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi joins the cause of raising awareness of climate change and the natural world with an exciting ‘dine under the stars’ concept.
55 & 5th, The Grill, the resort’s award-winning steakhouse, invites residents and tourists in Abu Dhabi to get in on the act this year with its special Candlelight Dinner. With options to enjoy the intimate setting on its terrace and indoors, this dinner includes a complimentary welcome drink and an a la carte menu available from 7pm until 11pm.
Inspired by the address of the original St. Regis New York, 55&5th, The Grill offers a classic, upscale Manhattan-style grill and lounge, complete with an outdoor terrace, private dining room, cellar and personal sommelier. Staying true to its origins, the menu begins with classic and signature cocktails, and features an extensive grape list, which pairs flawlessly with the epicurean offerings.
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi sees Earth Hour as a chance to celebrate doing its bit to reduce its impact on the planet and will be switching off its lights across the property between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on March 30.
In support of Earth Hour 2019, The St. Regis Athletic Club will host a session of ‘Moonlight Yoga’ from 8.30pm and 9.30pm, highlighting the powerful message about the urgent need for action on climate change.
Additionally, The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi will also activate a range of energy-saving measures during Earth Hour including turning off lighting for exterior signage and certain landscape areas, dimming or turning off non-essential interior lighting and using candlelight in appropriate public areas, and switching off fountains and pool heaters. All in-house guests will be informed about Earth Hour observances and will be encouraged to participate in the initiative by turning off non-essential lighting in their room.
