The Region’s Ultimate Neo-Culture Festival Set to Open its Doors to Visitors Tomorrow

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 25 April 2023: BRED Abu Dhabi, Presented by Hypebeast, the region’s ultimate neo-culture festival, will open its doors to visitors at Yas Bay Waterfront between 26 and 30 April. A jam-packed line-up of entertainment and one-of-a-kind experiences include chart-topping performances by hip-hop and R&B artists, exclusive retail drops, street food concepts and more.
The festival will kick-off with an Opening Party featuring performances by international and regional urban hip-hop and R&B artists including DJ Jazzy Jeff, electronic music icon Omar Souleyman and British Lebanese DJ, Saliah. Between 27-30 April, visitors can also expect live renditions of their favourite tracks by artists including 2 Chainz, Dave East, Armani White, 6LACK, Big Sean, Tagne, Afroto and Balti. Recently added to the jam-packed line-up are British rap superstars Headie One, set to take the stage on 28 April, and Digga D, who will deliver an electrifying performance on 29 April.
Throughout the festival, visitors can expect to see augmented reality artworks by American artist and designer, KAWS. Produced exclusively for BRED Abu Dhabi, the creations were brought to life in partnership with VR and AR production house, Acute Art. Art enthusiasts can also head to the NEO GALLERY where a curated collection of prints, paintings and photography will be on display.
THE ALLEY will be home to a mix of local, regional and international fashion labels rooted in street culture, including limited edition collections and drops by TwoJeys, Astral Labs, Bey&Bey, AOTA, Angel Dust, Socius and Swey. At the festival’s POP Zone, visitors can shop for pieces by brands including Basement Lab, Dedicated, Karrouhat, Love Closely, PAR (Plant Art Repeat), Pointless Act, Since 2087 and SLO. The festival’s HBX Space, an experiential and cultural platform presented by Hypebeast, will bring visitors highly-curated labels including Mallet, Pleasures, Daily Paper, Kicks Crew and Filling Pieces.
Some of the finest street food concepts from around the world are also making their way to BRED. Visitors can get a taste of Southern comfort food at Sweet Chick, or head over to Meltsmiths for melted British cheese toasties. Homemade sandwiches and unique brunch bites will be available at restaurant-meets-streetwear imprint Paperboy Paris, while New York’s first and only Bahrain-owned bakery, Librae Bakery, introduces visitors to a menu influenced by flavours from the Middle East. Hypebeans, the culinary extension of Hypebeast, will also make its way to the festival, offering visitors a beverage menu crafted from a meticulous blend of coffee beans roasted by Japanese artisans.
At THE COURTS, basketball hype courts invite visitors to take part in the grittier and more fast-paced version of the beloved game. Football enthusiasts can also test their skills at the BRED Futsal Courts, or take part in freestyle football shows, tournaments, skill sessions and other challenging activities. For gamers, THE GAME ZONE will be the perfect urban-style hangout space complete with e-gaming setups, tournaments, a BRED Chat/Podcast area, console area, and speaker chillout lounge.
Tickets are on sale through BRED’s official website at www.bredabudhabi.com. General Admission tickets offer visitors full access to BRED Abu Dhabi for one day, excluding concerts and paid attractions (AED 50 on weekdays and AED 75 on weekends). Available in limited quantities, visitors can also get their hands on the Festival Pass for AED 495, guaranteeing them access to the complete festival experience, including concerts. Access to concerts includes BRED Plus passes at AED 195, BRED Fanatic passes at AED 295 and BRED VIP passes at AED 345. VIP tables for the concerts and after-parties at the BRED Arena are also available with prior reservations at +971 55 563 8891.
Festival partners include hospitality partner, White Abu Dhabi and streaming partner, Anghami. With every ticket purchased, festivalgoers can get two months of unlimited ad-free music with Anghami Plus.
Doors will be open from 5 pm to 12 am on 26 and 27 April and from 5 pm to 2 am between 28-30 April.
