Siraj Memon, Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing Al Baleed Resort Salalah and Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort

Siraj Memon has been appointed Cluster Director of Sales Marketing for Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort and Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara. He has been promoted in August 2020 to this new role from his previous assignment at the Salalah property as Director of Sales since July 2016. He served as a vital member of the pre-opening team for both resorts and oversaw their successful launch.
Hailing from a background in hospitality with over 15 years of experience in the MENA region, Siraj is a result-oriented and passionate sales professional with a wealth of experience in enhancing sales, marketing and revenue streams. His portfolio boasts a proven track record of outperforming market-leading competitors through astute planning, account management, market and customer insight, and identification of innovative solutions.
Over his tenure, he has orchestrated and executed impactful business, sales, and marketing initiatives to drive business growth as well as the brand awareness of Anantara resorts in Oman. Leading a team of 11 sales and marketing professionals, Siraj efficaciously achieved the pre-opening budgets and has maintained these results with a yearly double-digit growth ever since.
Prior to joining Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas, one of the core luxury brands within the Minor Hotels portfolio, Siraj held the role of Director of Sales at Taj Hotels, Resort Palaces in Dubai. His career has also seen him through other managerial and directorial roles in some of the leading hospitality brands in the region and worldwide such as, Associate Director of Sales at Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts preceded by a stint as Cluster Sales Manager at the Grosvenor House A Luxury Collection Hotel Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort Spa, Dubai.
Siraj brings a unique level of dedication to his work, proving to be an industry powerhouse and gaining international recognition for his professional acumen. Most recently, he was bestowed the distinguished title of Minor 2019 Sales Leader of the Year for outstanding performance and driving luxury business into Salalah, beating off competition from within the Minor Hotels portfolio.
An Indian national fluent in English and professional working proficiency in Arabic, Siraj holds a Bachelors of Hotel Management from Bangalore University.
