SALALAH ROTANA RESORT APPOINTS STEFAN THUMIGER AS A NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Salalah, Oman– Salalah Rotana Resort announces the appointment of Stefan Thumiger as the new General Manager at the luxurious property in Oman. Thumiger has more than 35 years of experience and has started with Rotana Hotels 5-star property on July 7, 2019.

 He holds a degree in Federal Chartered Hotelier/Caterer HF/SHL from the Swiss hotel and catering school in Lucerne, Switzerland. A Swiss national with Australian citizenship, Thumigers hospitality journey began in Food & Beverage department, more specifically he worked as an apprentice chef in a hotel in Switzerland working his way through the ranks and has since held senior leadership roles within many global hotel chains across GCC, Asia and Europe. In addition to his Hotel Management Degree, Thumiger earned certificates in Marketing Strategy, Hotel Revenue Management, Financial Management Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University, USA.
