Saber El Moufakkir Receives Silver for Executive Chef of the Year - Institutional Catering at the Middle East Chef Excellence Awards 2024
Saber has unequivocally excelled in various roles and has made a significant impact on the culinary industry.
Saber El Moufakkir, Production Manager at Kitopi, achieved the prestigious Executive Chef of the Year - Institutional Catering (Airlines, Cruise, Catering, etc.) silver award at the 7th Middle East Chef Excellence Awards 2024. The gala ceremony, hosted by Hozpitality Group, took place on June 7 at JW Marriott Dubai Marina, marking a significant milestone in Saber El Moufakkir's culinary career. Bassam Bousaleh and Rami Bousaleh from US Beef alongside Raj Bhatt, CEO of Hozpitality Group, were honored to present the award.
Saber is a highly motivated and capable professional chef passionate about preparing popular Italian, French, American, Arabic, and continental cuisine. He has a hands-on approach to all areas of the kitchen, excellent organizational skills, and administrative capabilities. A quick learner, Saber effortlessly fits into established environments while encouraging junior staff to achieve their best. He is known for his professionalism, enthusiasm, and being a young chef with a drive for excellence.
Saber's professional journey includes five years and eleven months at Kitopi, where he has served as Production Manager since August 2019 and Assistant Production Manager since September 2018. Before joining Kitopi, he was the Senior Kitchen Manager and Head Chef at Tashas Cafe in Abu Dhabi from November 2016 to September 2018. In this role, he supervised cooks and chefs, trained new employees, ensured customer service satisfaction, controlled costs and expenditures, and managed kitchen operations and maintenance.
His experience includes serving as Assistant Kitchen Manager at Zuhour Group, Sous Chef at Petrossian, and Demi-Chef de Partie at Carluccio's on The Pearl Island in Doha, Qatar. Saber has demonstrated excellence in various roles and contributed significantly to the culinary industry.
Saber holds a Bachelor's degree in Cooking and Related Culinary Arts from I T H T Fes Atlas Morocco and studied culinary arts at the French Culinary Institute.
