Rohit Mallick, General Manager of Welcomhotel Bangalore, has been honored with a prestigious spot in Hozpitality's esteemed Best 30 General Managers in India power list for 2024.
Mallick is a dynamic, energetic, and result-oriented business leader with over twenty-five years of rich hospitality experience encompassing hotel operations and training. Rohit, an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata, has worked with ITC Hotels since 2003.
Rohit's journey began as an L&D Manager at ITC Windsor, and he was later re-designated to Regional L&D Manager-South in 2006. As a pre-opening team member of ITC Gardenia in 2009 and ITC Grand Chola in 2011, he played a critical role in establishing the best training practices for ITC Hotels in the South. Rohit was then elevated to General Manager in 2016, where he successfully opened Welcomhotel Coimbatore, Welcomhotel Chail, Welcomhotel Katra, and Welcomhotel Ahmedabad. Currently, he serves as the GM of Welcomhotel Bengaluru and is also assisting in the pre-opening of Welcomhotel Belagavi.
Throughout his tenure with ITC Hotels, Rohit has provided crucial pre-opening support to multiple hotel brands under ITC Luxury Collection, Welcomhotels, and Fortune Hotels. Rohit is a Black Belt in Six Sigma and has also completed an MBA in HR from TNOU and an Advanced Programme in HRM from IIM Lucknow.
