Rixos The Palm Dubai Champions Inclusive Hiring through Expert-Led Neurodiversity Seminar by IBCCES
On May 1st, the award-winning family beach destination will host an exclusive workshop by IBCCES designed to help hospitality professionals unlock the potential of neurodiverse talent, fostering a more inclusive and innovative industry.

Dubai, UAE (April 2025): Renowned for its guest-centric and tailored experiences, Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites continuously works to make world-class hospitality accessible to every guest. Now expanding its efforts, this family-friendly haven is set to welcome 60 HR professionals to an educational seminar on supporting neurodiverse talent in the workplace. Taking place on May 1st, the event will explore how inclusive hiring practices and supportive environments can empower neurodivergent individuals to thrive within the hospitality industry. Seamlessly aligned with Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites’ vision of creating more inclusive guest and workplace experiences, IBCCES (the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards) is a global leader in autism and neurodiversity training and certification. For over two decades, the organisation has trained professionals across education, healthcare, corporate, and hospitality sectors with the tools to better understand and support individuals with cognitive differences. Their evidence-based programmes are developed in collaboration with experts, industry leaders, and neurodivergent individuals to ensure real-world relevance and meaningful impact.
Beginning at 10:00am on May 1st, the executive workshop will explore actionable strategies for supporting neurodivergent talent in the workplace. Covering inclusive hiring and retention practices, real-world success stories, and the role of neurodiversity in driving innovation and growth, the session offers practical tools for HR leaders. Attendees will also have the chance to connect over coffee with fellow professionals and meet Meredith Tekin, President of IBCCES, who will be present on the day.
This initiative builds on Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites’ ongoing efforts to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all guests, and now extends that same focus to its team. The property recently achieved Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) status, marking a meaningful step towards enhancing accessibility across the resort. Thoughtful touches include sensory-friendly toys at the Rixy Kids Club and low-sensory seating areas in calming corners of Toro Loco, L’Olivo’s Gold Room, the spa lounge, and the reception area, offering peaceful spaces to relax and recharge.
Sharing his excitement for the upcoming event, General Manager of Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites, Murat Zorlu, said, ‘At Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites, we believe hospitality is about making every individual feel seen, supported, and valued. Hosting this seminar allows us to bring the industry together to have impactful conversations about neurodiversity and to explore how we can build a more inclusive future for hospitality, where everyone has the opportunity to shine.’
With the global spotlight increasingly turning toward inclusion, this seminar with IBCCES marks a timely and essential conversation for the region’s HR professionals. In an industry built on understanding, connection, and care, Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites sets a powerful example, showing that embracing neurodiverse talent isn’t just about fairness, but about enriching the workplace with fresh perspectives and unique strengths that elevate the guest experience.

About IBCCES
Delivering the global standard for training and certification in the fields of autism, neurodiversity, and accessibility – IBCCES provides a series of certification programs that empower professionals to be leaders in their field and improve the outcomes for the individuals they serve. For over two decades, IBCCES has been a global leader, setting the industry standard in autism and cognitive differences training. IBCCES works in over 111 countries and provides training in 8 languages, and its programs have been recognized around the world as the leading benchmark in training and certification.
In addition to individual certification programs, IBCCES partners with cities, destinations, and organizations on initiatives like the Certified Autism Destination™ (CAD) and Autism Certified City™ (ACC), ensuring autistic and sensory-sensitive residents and visitors feel welcomed and safe. Destinations that achieve the CAD designation have completed a specialized program that ensures a multitude of recreation, hospitality and entertainment organizations have completed an autism and sensory-sensitivity training, certification and IBCCES facilities review process. The ACC designation expands on that program and includes IBCCES training and certification for the public safety, education, healthcare and workplace sectors.
IBCCES also created the Accessibility App, AutismTravel.com, and CertifiedAutismCenter.com – free resources for individuals with a variety of neurodiversities and disabilities, listing certified locations and connecting individuals to other resources and each other.
