Rijo Joseph, the Cluster Executive Housekeeper for Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli, Al Najada Hotel by Tivoli, and Al Najada Hotel Apartments by Oaks, has over 15 years of experience in various branded hotels in India and Qatar.
Rijo's career began at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper during the pre-opening period in 2014. He managed housekeeping operations in all 11 buildings within the Souq Waqif collection of boutique hotels and apartments. Due to his exceptional performance, he was promoted to Cluster Executive Housekeeper, where he manages housekeeping operations for a cluster with a total of 420 inventory, including Al Najada Doha Hotel by Tivoli and Al Najada Doha Hotel Apartments by Oaks.
During his time in the hospitality industry, Rijo has developed and executed housekeeping standards, programs, and training for all housekeepers across three properties. He spearheaded the implementation of hygiene protocols and ensured compliance with government regulations, resulting in high cleanliness scores on various audits. To further grow his department, he ensured that all team members developed their careers, promoting 11 team members in just 9 months. As a result, housekeeping scores were consistently maintained at 4.9 out of 5 on internal guest surveys.
Rijo continues to inspire his team to provide top-notch guest service and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, maintaining a positive attitude. His emphasis on training and cost control has resulted in a highly efficient and effective housekeeping department.
