The Oberoi Group is a hotel company with its head office in Delhi. Founded in 1934, the company owns and operates 30+ luxury hotels and two river cruises in six countries, primarily under its Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and Trident Hotels brands. The hotel brand was founded by Mr. Mohan Singh Oberoi in India and gained its popularity as a renowned Hospitality brand in India and around the world. The Oberoi has its own standards and working environment. For the Hotel school pass outs, it’s a big opportunity and dream to get a job in the Oberoi group or even work as a trainee. The Oberoi has now spread its wings in Dubai and one of their prestigious properties is in Business Bay with the breathtaking views of majestic Steel Icon, Burj Khalifa.
This was my first opportunity to visit The Oberoi and to dine at their Indian Restaurant, “Ananta” last weekend. We had heard great reviews about the place and wanted to try out with the family, we also had a few friends visiting us from India. The ambiance is Royal with crimson and opulent tableware, guests have a chance to experience live cooking within the premises. The staff is welcoming, friendly and professional. You would be checked in by gorgeous hostesses dressed in Indian Saree with big Bindi on their foreheads to portray the rich Indian culture and to make you feel at home.
Those golden plates just stole my heart as we entered in Ananta. The golden cutleries give you a Royal luxurious feel and are the first thing you would notice as you be seated at your table. Reservations are mandatory so before you go, make sure to reserve a table. Ananta serves a combination of authentic Indian and fusion foods through their large ala-carte menu.
For starters we ordered;
Murg Malai Kebab for Non-veg
Asparagus Galotti kebabs and chat as vegetarian options
Kids didn’t want to have an Indian meal, so they ordered Chicken nuggets and French fries.
For the main course, we ordered;
Fish Moily
Fried Okra
Shahi Paneer, Rice and Lachha Parantha
According to the non-vegetarians in the group, Fish Moily was outstanding. I enjoyed my parantha with Okra and Paneer.
For dessert, we ordered Pista Kulfi.
We have enjoyed our dinner at Ananta at the Oberoi’s. The Oberoi is the perfect place to celebrate any occasion or to visit with friends and family.
