Started as a trainee attendant, Rahul's journey to becoming an Executive Housekeeper is a testament to his hard work and ingenuity. Over the past decade, he has been an integral part of the hotel's housekeeping department, contributing significantly to its success.
One of Rahul's notable accomplishments over the last year is his initiative to reduce wastage and operational costs. He converted discarded linens into face towels, pillowcases, and dusters, resulting in a minimum value of AED 45,070 in cost savings. Moreover, he is in charge of the zero-plastic project, replacing all single-use plastic items in the rooms and working on a solution for the water bottles.
Rahul's leadership during the pandemic has been remarkable. As a COVID Champion, he ensured that the team members properly followed all safety protocols through consistent training and follow-up. The hotel received a gold category (A) from the recent food safety inspection in two consecutive years. This is a testament to Rahul's leadership and commitment to ensuring that all safety procedures are met and maintained.
In addition, Rahul assists other departments in the hotel, ensuring the smooth check-in of big group arrivals, working with the marketing department, and pioneering inter-departmental quizzes as a training exercise. He also manages the "Share your Talent" program, where associates take turns performing for each other.
Rahul's unique leadership style is rooted in his kind-heartedness, treating his colleagues as his own family.
