Prashant Aripirala, the accomplished Group Executive Chef at Uniglobe Holding and McGettigan’s Ajman, has been recognized in Hozpitality’s Best 30 Powerlist of Chefs in the Middle East for 2025. With over two decades of culinary experience, Chef Prashant has established himself as a visionary leader, celebrated for his innovative approach, sustainability initiatives, and mentorship in the culinary world.
Cooking was not Chef Prashant’s first career choice, but a series of fortunate events led him to discover his passion for the culinary arts. Today, he takes immense pride in his profession and is grateful for the opportunities that have shaped his journey. His dedication and talent have earned him numerous accolades, including the Gold Award for Culinary Champion of the Year 2023 UAE and the Silver Award for Best Executive Chef of the Year 2021 for Free Standing Restaurants in UAE. He was also nominated for the same category in 2022 and won the Best Sustainable Dessert at Gulf Food Manufacturing in Dubai in 2021. Additionally, he was recognized as one of the Top 7 Best Poisoners in the UAE for 2022 and won Silver for Canadian Beef & Mushroom Charlotte by the Emirates Culinary Guild.
A Senior Member of the Emirates Culinary Guild and Maître Rotisseur at Chaine des Rotisseurs UAE, Chef Prashant’s expertise spans diverse cuisines, including British, American, Mediterranean, and Asian. His culinary journey began with a 3-year Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology in India, followed by advanced training in Culinary Arts from at-sunrice Global Chef Academy in Singapore, jointly offered by Johnson & Wales University USA. He also holds a Certificate in Principles of Culinary Arts from the American Hotel & Motel Association (AH&LA).
Currently serving as Group Executive Chef at Uniglobe Holding and managing McGettigan’s Ajman, Chef Prashant oversees culinary operations with a focus on creativity, sustainability, and team development. His career has taken him from an Assistant Cook on cruise lines to leading kitchens in 5-star hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, and fine dining establishments. Along the way, he has earned awards such as Best Employee of the Month, Best Dessert Created, and the Special Chairman’s Award.
Chef Prashant is passionate about exploring, experimenting, and recreating food, often combining unexpected flavors to break culinary norms. He enjoys traveling and tasting diverse cuisines, using these experiences to inspire his creations. His vision is to create a happy and stress-free kitchen environment by fostering a friendly atmosphere, motivating his team, and nurturing their passion for cooking.
His advice to young chefs is to focus on mastering the basics and developing their skills, as career success will naturally follow. He encourages chefs to view recipes as guidelines rather than strict rules, emphasizing the importance of knowledge, skill, and experience in creating exceptional dishes.
